I was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD. From a very young age, I loved animals and my dream was to be a veterinarian. Throughout my childhood, I had multiple pets from a cat and a dog, to hamsters and an iguana.
The majority of my immediate family lives in the Washington DC area, and when I am not working, I try to spend time with them. My other interests include outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, and camping. I also love to travel and read. I currently share my life with Remy, a pit bull rescue, two cats, Hopper and Lulu, and a chinchilla, Dilla.
Clinical Areas of Interest
Emergency medicine, geriatric medicine, and internal medicine.
Why Do You Work at Friendship?
I completed my small animal rotating internship at Friendship in 2009. I loved the comradery and integrated team approach to treating our patients fostered by the primary care, emergency, and specialty departments. Throughout my internship, I inquired frequently about any open positions as a staff doctor. Fortunately, a position opened up at the end of my internship, and I have been here ever since. I am so proud to be a part of such a progressive and excellent team of doctors, technicians and staff.
Education
I graduated from VA Tech with a biology degree in 2004, and graduated from VA-MD College of Veterinary Medicine (VA Tech) in 2008
