I am originally from NJ (The Beautiful Garden State.) I’ve had a lifelong fascination with animals and the outdoors, which led me to study biology and environmental science as an undergraduate. Veterinary medicine was a second career for me; I worked in research (mammary carcinogenesis and reproductive toxicology) prior to going back to school to study veterinary medicine.

I live in Virginia with my husband, son, and cohort of adopted pets.  In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, running, and yoga.

Why Do You Work at Friendship?

Several reasons!  First and foremost, I have great colleagues who make it a joy to come to work every day.  I enjoy working in a collaborative, friendly environment where doctors with different interests and areas of expertise can work together as a team to provide both excellent patient care and excellent client care.  I also enjoy working in a hospital that values teaching.  Each year we get an influx of new intern doctors who are bright and eager to learn.  One of the most rewarding parts of my job is to watch them learn and grow over the course of their year with us.  I’ve also come to really like living in the DC metro area!
