Meet our Doctors

Muhammad Harfoush, BVSc, DACVECC

Emergency & Critical Care

I lived in three continents and am originally from the Middle East. I grew up in a family that loved and cared for animals. During my life, I raised many animals including parakeets, bunnies, cats and working animals. Street cats and dogs also had their fair share of care.

After finishing my veterinary degree, I worked in general practice for about 2 years then moved to the United States where I obtained my veterinary equivalency degree. I then worked in upstate NY for 2 more years before I started my advanced training path. I finished my Emergency and Critical Care residency in 2021 then moved to DC to join the Friendship Hospital for Animals team.

My interests include hiking, playing volleyball and soccer, swimming, beach walks and my most favorite hobby, scuba diving.
